Agon nominates the Hyperguard App for prestigious award

Agon Systems were delighted to nominate Alert Systems for a Retail Risk award for their innovative Hyperguard App.

Retail Knowledge 2021 Fraud Awards sponsored by WIS International

Retail Risk run a number of conferences across the world including in the UK, Dubai and Australia for retailers, academics and law enforcement personnel who fight crime. They announced the winners of their prestigious annual industry awards last week, and although Alert Systems didn’t win on this occasion, they’ve still made a significant contribution to retail security with their latest innovation.

The Hyperguard App

The Hyperguard App was inspired by new doorbell technology and provides an additional level of security when someone enters the store with any type of booster bag. The App instantly notifies security via their handset or tablet with a photograph of the perpetrator.

The system can be operated online so that users can log in remotely to access all data, updates are quick and easy to perform and Agon Systems are able to provide even higher levels of ongoing remote support. The new App complements the existing Hyperguard installations which are fitted with Agon antennas and provide a high level of proactive shoplifting prevention. You can find out more about Hyperguard’s latest innovation here.

The Retail Risk awards

The Retail Risk awards are an important indicator of industry excellence and include the big names in security and risk. The Concept Tag won the Retail Risk Best Newcomer award in 2016 and the Concept Tag and Concept Releaser also won awards in 2014. We’re delighted to continue to support this important industry event with our nomination.

Sean Welch, CEO at Agon Systems explained why Agon Systems nominated the Hyperguard App:

Alert Systems, has for a long time, been renowned for supplying the finest Foil Bag Detection System on the market … indeed nearly all of the major EAS manufacturers use this product. With this new innovation of providing images of the potential thief, it will only further strengthen the product’s reputation.
