Superdry join a distinguished list of global brands tackling in-store theft!
Retail has never been easy, but the ever-growing issue of external theft is making business even tougher for almost every retailer. This rise in shoplifting is particularly hard for sought after brands, where criminals can easily sell the goods stolen from these stores.
Superdry to trial Concept Tag
For this reason and following recommendations from many other apparel retailers, global lifestyle brand, Superdry, recently approached Agon Systems the global supplier of Concept Tag. Superdry operate in 157 countries with 245 stores in the UK and EU and were looking to Concept Tag to help dramatically reduce store losses.
Confidence in results
As a result, Superdry will now be trialling the Concept Tag in two UK stores, using AM and RFID versions across these stores. However, Superdry are so confident of the results of these trials, that Concept Tag has already been specified for the next two new stores to open in Edinburgh and London’s Oxford Street, with both stores using RFID versions of Concept Tag.
Sean Welch, CEO at Agon Systems has also confirmed his confidence in the trial:
Superdry is a fantastic brand for us to be working with and I am sure they will be extremely impressed with the results they see in the reduction of shrink, but I am equally sure they will enjoy the soft benefits of greater stock availability and a more pleasant store environment, due to reduced criminal activity.
Global success
With average reductions in loss of 50% being seen around the world, and with Nike in Australia recently seeing thefts reduced by as much as 70%, it is easy to see why Agon Systems has previously been one of The Times Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies and is fast becoming the solution to stemming the global problem of shop theft.
